Green is the new jean…
“It’s a staple not just an accessory. Since inception, eventologie has applied environmental practices to every event. Eight-five percent of our events now incorporate extensive greening tactics into the event logistics from as little as recycling beverage containers to grand-scale composting efforts. With environmental issues at the forefront of topical concern, more clients are making a difference by using reusable or compostable partyware (china, flatware & glassware); offering recycling options for paper, plastic, glass, & aluminum; encouraging guests to carpool or use mass transit; creating a menu of organic, seasonal and regional cuisine and, of course, donating extra food to shelters. We continue to challenge ourselves, with every event, to exceed past greening efforts and encourage our clients, as well as our vendors, to consider the environment when producing each event.”

-Leadership Awards for the 2007 Greenbuild Conference held at The Merchandise Mart We served 5000+ guests which began with a VIP reception for 300 featuring organic fare donated by Whole Foods Market and prepared by Greg Christian in a chef’s demo. All product and produce was obtained from twenty different local farms, with local mileage noted. All food and wine was organic. The non-alcoholic beverages were 365 products from Whole Foods Market. Combined with the Party at the Pier, there was a total of 5000lbs of composted & recycled material for both events. No cut floral was used. Linen use was minimal and provided by a company who applied ecofriendly practices for cleaning. All signage was printed on recycled material.
-Party at the Pier held at Navy Pier
We catered to 2000 guests with entirely organic fare, created by Greg Christian Catering. Local farms that provided produce and product were listed, with mileage from farm to venue. Composted and recycled all food waste & containers. China, glass & silver were used. No cut floral was used – only potted plants and reusable décor elements.
